The Latest From Mars...
Mars Reconnaisance Orbiter (MRO) photographs the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Opportunity on the surface of Mars.We are taking pictures of a spacecraft we sent to another planet with a different spacecraft that we sent to the same planet. I think few people appreciate not only how amazing this is, but also how difficult.
If only more people were excited about this instead of Paris Hilton, or sports teams, or other mindless dreck.

Are Spirit and Opportunity still active? Still roving and sending back data and pictures and stuff? And if so, *how* long has it been now??? Those things turned out to be awesome.
